 Meet the Blue Truck A Factory 1977 D30 360 4spd Cab and Chassis. This truck is in the personal collection of Zac. Originally purchased in 1984 from Christensen Truck Sales of Pleasant Grove Utah. This truck has been in the collection longer then Zac! Zac's Dad needed a stake bed truck for his summer time work and found this truck for sale and bought it. There was a total of 7 of these trucks for sale at the time all painted the same. Factory blue cab red Omaha standard stake bed that a roofing company had purchased for their fleet. The glove box was full of staple holes. The truck has spent the majority of its life outside due to its size. Zac's dad always wanted to install a dump on it. When he bought it in 1984 the dump was not in his budget at the time. Over the years many loads of tree limbs and dump runs were tossed in and tossed out by hand. By 2007 it was time for a dump! Zac had to rebuild the flatbed, rust had taken its toll. Once the dump was installed the decision was made not long after to fix the rest of the truck and the frame off restoration began with a catch. The truck is no longer a "D" series and no longer a small block. The only original metal on the truck is the Dash board all the rest of the truck cab sheet metal was too far gone to reclaim from the rust. The little things of this restoration are still waiting to be buttoned up as the truck does not get used much any more aside from the occasional parade, scrap metal load and the annual leaf removal
