 The Tin Tool Truck

History: The Wildfire Survivor

We found this truck in August 2020 on Facebook, located in Farmington, NM. It was a long, single-day drive—18 hours total—to pick it up and bring it back home. The story we were told is that it's an old Farmington city service truck. The gentleman we bought it from had driven it home with plans to fix the brakes but never got back to the project.

In a dramatic turn of events, the truck survived a wildfire where it was parked, but the keys and the title weren't so lucky, having been lost in the owner's trailer.

Present: The Road to Road-Worthy

This truck is currently in the process of being brought back to road-worthy condition. It will be staying in the collection, so we are doing more in-depth repairs and adding features that will make it as easy as possible for anyone in the family to use when needed.

Future: A Long List and a Slide

We have a long list of things to do on this truck to have it fully included in the collection. One of the most anticipated additions will be a cargo slide for the bed. Stay tuned for more updates and pictures as we continue to give this truck the love and attention it deserves.
